Assassin's Creed Introduces Surprising Attack on Titan Event for Holiday Season
In a surprising collaboration that challenges conventional expectations, the game developer has revealed an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, including free additional story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Adventure Revealed
According to the formal release, "A strange encounter pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where rumors of prohibited practices and monstrous transformations resonate through the obscurity." The storyline presents a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a hidden cult.
The mission concentrates on "strange experiments and a fearsome enemy" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Iconic Settings and Metamorphoses
The trailer features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer ends with a powerful sequence showing a character, presumably the captive, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Prizes and Additional Material
Players who accomplish the mission will obtain an special katana alongside numerous objects hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

Third Free Story Addition
This patch also adds the game's latest free story addition, titled "The Mystery."
