Delhi Wakes Up to Toxic Haze Post Festival of Lights
As Tuesday dawned residents of the planet's dirtiest urban center encountered exposed to extremely polluted air that was classified as the "alarming" range.

Extensive ignition of pyrotechnics during the celebrations also initiated a controversy with neighbouring Pakistan, with authorities in Pakistan's Punjab partially attributing deteriorating atmospheric conditions in their urban centers on contaminants coming from neighboring India following the celebrations.

The situation in the city is resulting from a combination of different contributors including automobile exhaust, construction debris, construction activities, waste incineration and smoke from agricultural fires in adjacent regions of farming communities.
